Todd Gross has been working as a meteorologist in the television industry and on-the-web for 3 decades. Todd has worked for WOKR in Rochester, WNYT in Albany, CNN Headline News, The Today Show and most notably, a 22-year stint in Boston as the Chief Meteorologist at WHDH-TV.
Todd is an avid weather and SNOW freak. He is thrilled to be working at ABC 4 and living in an area with the "Greatest Snow on Earth", and such diverse weather week-to-week. His thrill of meteorology was even captured on film as he was portrayed in the hit movie
The Perfect Storm by actor Christopher McDonald.

Todd is most proud however, of his three Emmy awards, and his educational and innovative use of terminology when it comes to weather and weather-related topics such as astronomy. Todd is a published astro-photographer and will be alerting ABC 4 viewers to anything exciting happening in the skies such as sudden meteor showers in addition to his forecasts of rain showers! Terms such as the "triple C" (clear-calm and cold) and "foggle" (fog and drizzle) to simplify the weather have been a favorite of his for years.
Todd is also one of the first pioneers in doing weather on the web. In 1994, he began a weather-astronomy page, Weatherman.Com, and started discussion groups and online weather observation groups before it became "fashionable".
Todd's wife Ava has gone along on this wild weather-ride, and has helped to name their children after the weather: Their middle names are Sky, and Sunshine! While she goes for the sun, and Todd the storms, somehow it all works out.
