1st Week of 1st Grade

I don't know why, but I have a tough time every year sending my daughter off to school! It's like she ages three years from the time she walks into class to when she walks back in my front door that afternoon. Sure she's learning, growing, making friends and all that stuff...but can't she stay five just a little bit longer? I will admit I've had an easier time with first grade than I did with kindergarten. Kindergarten was a tear fest. Even my daughter asked if I was going to "cry all day again this year". Nope, no crying this year. Just that moment again where I watched her walk away and felt a lump in my throat. Time is passing and I'm just trying to make the most of every single second.
