SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – Salt Lake City police are investigating a possible hate crime.
Police say a 50-year-old man was coming out of a building at 161 south Pueblo Street at around 12:30 Wednesday morning.
Police say he had been drinking and was waiting for a taxi to pick him up when another man walked by, used a crude racial slur about sexual orientation, and hit the man in the head with a beer bottle.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. As of Wednesday evening, no one had been arrested.
